First Ward Charlotte is located directly North East of the intersection of Trade and Tryon. Primarily consisting of town homes, this ward will continue to develop slowly over the next few years. The Bobcats arena and the new UNCC uptown campus are located in this ward.

The Renwick is a public-private partnership between the Charlotte Housing Authority and Bucci Development. The Renwick will be located at the 700 block of East 7th Street near Trinity Episcopal School and First Ward Elementary School.
The Renwick will consist of studios, one, two, and three bedroom flats, as well as three bedroom penthouses. Some units will feature patios that overlook the centrally located pool and garden areas.
